The Pony Express Trail between Salt Lake City and Roberts Creek (now in Nevada) covered 300 miles of desert valleys and high mountains.  This is the section of the route over which Major Howard Egan was superintendent.
To honor my great-great grandfather I have begun this un-scientific study of the portion of the Pony Express Trail he managed.  Using photographs and historical narratives an attempt will be made to illustrate the events, people and places of this section of the trail.  New information and images will be added when available.  Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
